Estate story
Located on the heights of Montréal-du-Gers in the Ténarèze region, Château Lassalle Baqué is a historic estate whose origins reach back to the early 14th century, when a watchtower stood on the property. The château took its present form during the 18th century, when the residence was expanded and its surrounding walls were constructed.
The estate entered the Morlan family in 1884, when Armagnac producer Valérien Morlan purchased the property. Armagnac has remained part of the family tradition ever since, with the knowledge of viticulture and distillation passed down through successive generations.
Today, the domaine is led by Rémi Brocardo, who took over the family property in 2018 after reviving distillation there the previous year following a two-decade hiatus. Both a grower and traveling distiller, Rémi personally distills Armagnac at Lassalle Baqué as well as for other producers throughout the region.
Situated in the heart of the Ténarèze, an area known for producing powerful, structured Armagnacs with exceptional aging potential, Château Lassalle Baqué remains a deeply traditional family estate. From vineyard to distillation and aging, Rémi continues a legacy of Armagnac production that has been part of his family for more than 140 years.
